The signal system from the prompt corner to the flies, electricians' perches, or to any part of the stage where effects are to be carried out. The warning is a red light, and the go is green. In some theatres these colours are reversed, or one light is used as a warning, and the go is when the light is switched off. The warning tells the hand who works the effect to stand by.
