By changing the dominant hue in a pattern, the entire composition could be modified [...]. While this effect is most easily recognizable in a pattern, the concept will work in any composition where you have multiple or repeated images of the same subject. By changing a dominant color, the appearance of shapes and their relationship to each other can alter the overall composition.
